Beekeeping Night - film and discussion
Come along and enjoy a screening of the inspiring documentary Queen of the Sun: What are the Bees Telling Us?. A journey through the catastrophic disappearance of bees and the mysterious world of the beehive, this engaging and ultimately uplifting film weaves an unusual and dramatic story of the heartfelt struggles of beekeepers, scientists and philosophers from around the world'.
Following the film screening, two local holistic beekeepers, Sue Shearer and Lis Alington, will discuss their own approach, struggles, hopes and solutions.
What is involved with having a beehive in a suburban setting?
Come along and find out!
Bring a beanbag/cushion (chairs available too) and your questions. We will provide hot drinks and plenty of delectable, honey inspired home baking.
Thursday 23rd May, 7pm. Film is 82 minutes, followed by discussion.
