  “ From Normal To Healthy”

Florian Osswald

Where: Titirangi Rudolf Steiner School

When: Thursday 4th August

Time: 7.30pm

Most children survive school, but what allows them to thrive in the world - to be healthy individuals ready to fullfil their own potential and make valuable contributions to society?

The topic of this talk looks at the health giving nature of a Waldorf/Steiner education and in particular what the education offers students in the middle and upper school years that goes beyond the accepted norm to developing healthy human beings.

Florian Osswald is currently the co-leader of the Pedagogical Section at the Goetheanum in Dornach, Switzerland.

He first studied process engineering but after working in Camphill as a teacher for children with special needs, he attended the Anthroposophical Teacher Training Seminar in Dornach. He then spent many years as a science and mathematics teacher at the Berne Rudolf Steiner High School in Switzerland.

Florian has a close connection with New Zealand; his son attended the Taikura Steiner School in Hastings and he was a keynote speaker at the Kolisko conference last year.
