DESCRIPTION:The Advent Fair! Titirangi Rudolf Steiner School welcomes all again to its beloved and vibrant school fair – unique in West Auckland. \nThe Fair is a wonderful community event that reflects and shares the values of the school with all – weaving together craft\, music\, hospitality\, and storytelling for a great day out! \nVisitors have the opportunity to be involved in creative advent activities such as the very popular wreath-making and candle dipping. \nFor young children the fair is a magical experience – they get to meet the elusive Fairy Queen in her secluded grotto\, enter into the Children’s Bazaar to buy their own special treasures\, dine at the Children’s Café\, have their faces painted\, use their casting skills to catch a (chocolate) fish at the Fishing Game and watch an enchanting puppet show. \nFor the more adventurous\, there is the best flying fox in West Auckland! And for children of all ages there are lots of field games to try out – archery\, coconut shy\, tug-o-war\, three-legged and egg & spoon races and more. \nWe love food – and at the fair\, we make sure that there are delicious treats for all with lots of options – a vegetarian buffet style café and also beefy and vegetarian sausage sizzle\, ice creams\, barista coffee and\, of course\, plenty of cakes! \nBargain hunters\, vintage and recycling lovers will no doubt find something interesting\, useful or amusing at the ‘White Elephant’\, \nThe Fair’s village atmosphere is complemented with hand-selected stalls offering such things as Christmas decorations\, fleece fairies & angels\, jewellery\, clothes\, toys\, handmade items and so much more. It’s a great place to find those special Christmas gifts. \n…and did we mention music? Yes! Live music all day. \nJust 2 km from Titirangi Village – signposted from Titirangi Roundabout. \nThere is limited parking in surrounding areas\, so please use the free shuttle service operating all day to and from Titirangi Memorial Hall\, Woodlands Park School and Tangiwai Reserve. \nVisitors are also encouraged to drop off passengers at the school gate and then park near the shuttle pick-up points. \nFor public transport\, take bus #171 alighting at Laingholm Dr/Landing Rd stop or #170 to South Titirangi Road and walk down the steps to Landing Road – you get a great view of the area too. \nThere is mobility permit holders parking available in the school carpark. \nThe Fair is a dog-free and Zero Waste event – please bring your reusable bags\, coffee cups and straws! \nAll are welcome and admission is free – a wonderful fun day for all members of the family.
