Class 12 Play – The Life of Insects

27th September @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Class 12 students will perform the cult classic

The Life of Insects by Karel and Josep Čapek

A hugely influential play among actors, writers and directors, it remains a somewhat underground piece. It has serious ‘street cred’, never having broken into Westend or Broadway ~ but we’re about to change that 🙂

You will see a highly stylised, adventurous production. We have been building our ‘physical theatre’ skills over the past month ~ so come along and prepare to be amazed, delighted, entertained!  Norbert Mulholland

Evening Performances Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 25 – 27 September at 7.30 in the Hall which will be transformed into a theatre with tiered seating for this special occasion.

Refreshments from 7pm.

Tickets available from the School Office: $15 adults; $10 children/students; $40 family

Due to content, the play is suitable for Class 5 age children up.

Please invite your friends and family!

The Play is directed by Norbert Mulholland from Wellington. Norbert is a recognised master of his craft – highly experienced, enthusiastic and energetic.

He originally trained and worked as an actor in Dublin, Ireland and after completing his Fine Art training, he attended Emerson College, England, before specialising in Speech and Drama, in Sydney, Australia. Norbert has been a performer and tutor of speech and drama since coming to NZ and has directed the senior students at Raphael House Rudolf Steiner School in Wellington for 15 years. He is also a writer (poetry and plays) and an experienced adult educator.
