Come and celebrate 100 years of eurythmy in the Waldorf curriculum with Susanne Zipperlen, eurythmy teacher.
This is the second in a series of 3 morning workshops geared for parents; however, everyone is most welcome. Please come dressed for movement as well as sitting on the floor.
The workshops will consist of a talk followed by demonstration and then parents will also have the opportunity to practice some eurythmy. Each session will introduce a new aspect of eurythmy.
Koha gratefully received. No need to register in advance; just show up at the door on the day. All welcome.
Susanne will build up the foundational underpinnings of the eurythmy curriculum from kindergarten to class 12. With many years of teaching experience, Susanne would like to share the amazing synergy and tapestry of eurythmy. The talks will address the following questions:
What eurythmy is as an art form in regards to the spoken word and music
Why eurythmy is enriching the curriculum in regards to self awareness – hand, heart and head, in space and time
How the curriculum supports the child’s developmental stages from kindergarten to class 12, for example in the harmonious geometric formations, which are used in all the levels of the eurythmy curriculum
What was Rudolf Steiner’s role in the development of eurythmy.
