The Advent Fair is not only part of our school's festival calendar, but also a major fund raiser and a real highlight of the year for the school and a lot of work goes into making the fair a day of wonder for our own children and the wider community. It  focuses on activities, storytelling, music and craft embracing the advent theme in a friendly and relaxed family atmosphere.

It wasn’t the best of weather for this year’s Advent Fair, and while it kept some people away, those who did come were rewarded with a lovely day out, great music, lots of activities and short queues.

Adults and children, alike, crafted their own advent wreaths, Christmas crackers and beeswax or rainbow-dipped candles to take home ready for the festive season ahead.

Music from talented local musicians filled the courtyard while people enjoyed espresso coffee and scrumptious fare from the café.

Over in the kindergarten, younger children were visiting the Fairy Queen in her secret flowering bush grotto, or enjoying treats in the magical children’s café, or buying handmade treasures all by themselves from the children’s bazaar. There were puppet plays from the kindergarteners and the daring flying fox ride over the pond for the adventurous.

We also had exquisite handmade advent calendars, homemade Christmas baking, the very popular designer clothes seconds’ boutique and a wide range of stallholders on offer, not to mention classic fair essentials like the White Elephant, raffles, coconut shy, archery and much more.

Congratulations to the lucky winners of the fabulous raffle hampers: Kate Lawry, Nic Wylie, Gary, Sheetal Patel, and Pieter ten Have.

Thank you to all our visitors who came along to enjoy the festivities. We hope you all had a wonderful day.
