Advent Fair

Sunday 19 November 2023 10am – 3pm

Our Advent Fair brings together traditional advent crafts and festivities with an explosion of family and community fun, showcasing our school grounds and expressing our values as a community. We work together to create a vibrant festival event of quality music, creative markets, outrageously fun games and delicious food, to nourish the mind, body and spirit.

The event is waste-free, organic and eco-friendly. It is about love, laughter, community and honouring our responsibility to earth and to future generations. Join us!

Please be advised there’s no parking on school grounds.
Please use the free shuttles from Titirangi War Memorial Hall, Tangiwai Reserve or Kauriland School.

For further information, please contact our fair coordinator adventfair@trss.community.

Stallholder Online Application Form

What kind of fair is it?

The Advent Fair is a traditional-styled school fair that reflects the values of Waldorf education. We endeavour to create a fun-filled family day with a strong focus on local, homemade, and natural goods & products. The fair is also a zero-waste activity. There will be 55+ stalls, cafes, live music, storytelling, puppet shows, craft activities, and a variety of family fair games. In 2020 the Advent Fair was well attended with around 4000 visitors.

Stalls and costs

The cost for a stall is $70.00 per single stall. There is a small number of inside stalls with most stalls being outside with better visibility.

The outside spaces are the standard 3mx3m size. All the inside stalls are 2m wide x 1.5m deep. All stalls are selected by application only and on a first-in first-served basis. To avoid disappointment, please complete the application form as soon as possible as the spaces for the last few years have sold out approximately 4 weeks prior to the fair. We warmly welcome our returning stall holders but regular attendance in previous years does not guarantee you a space so please complete the application form as soon as you can.

All stall locations will be allocated after the beginning of November when we have the final layout of the fair. Stalls will be grouped in different areas of the school with some being on the main grass field, along the gravel driveway, in the flat tar sealed amphitheatre and inside our classrooms.

Payment information will be emailed once you have been confirmed a stall space. Payment is non-refundable unless the event is cancelled due to Covid-19. We will follow all government guidelines.

Set up and parking

Stall holders will be able to drive into the school between 6.30am – 8:00am. Limited parking will be available for stall holders in the main car park and allocated parking spaces on site.  Cars will be parked in and unable to move between 8.00am-3:30pm. Please note that you will be unable to drive all the way to your stall to unload and we recommend bringing a trolley or similar which may help you to unload and get your goods from the car to your stall location.

Types of products at the fair

We invite stalls that will complement this unique fundraiser with beautiful New Zealand made products. Ideally – local, natural, handmade, organic, fair trade, zero waste and plastic free. Caricatures, cartoon or TV themed products, plastic items, mass produced, branded items and most types of imported goods are not in keeping with this ethos. Therefore, we ask all stall holders to provide an honest description of their goods on the form. Please do not be offended if we turn down your request for a stall on this basis. We are asking that you provide a photo of your products and/or stall setup.

Zero waste

We are a zero waste event. No plastic bags are to be given out please. We will encourage visitors to bring their own bags. We ask that all packaging and presentation of your sale items are environmentally friendly and responsible.

Who will come?

The fair is very well supported by the wider school community as well as the wider Auckland community with strong alumni support. People come back year after year once they have ‘found’ us. Please like us on Instagram and Facebook and share with your followers.

Where will the proceeds go?

The Advent Fair is a major fundraising event that the school depends on, being an independent school. All proceeds will go directly to the school.

We look forward to hearing from you and please do not hesitate to contact us at stallsadventfair@trss.community, if you have any questions.
