The Cunningham family together with Titirangi Rudolf Steiner School warmly invite all to come together to celebrate the life of our dear Judith Cunningham on Sunday 5 October.
In recent days, we have shared the sad news of the passing of our beloved friend, colleague, teacher, and community powerhouse. Judy was such a cherished member of our community for 37 years, and her warmth, dedication, and spirit touched so many lives at school, the market and in the wider community. While we feel the deep sorrow of her passing, the Cunningham family together with Titirangi Rudolf Steiner School warmly invite all to come together to celebrate the joy, love, and inspiration she brought to her family and into the community.
Please share this invitation with everyone you know who would like to join us for this special occasion.
Further Details
Gathering: We will gather to music in the school courtyard at 1:30pm. There will be seating for all those who need it, as well as plenty of standing room. Children are welcome to sit on the ground, and we suggest bringing a cushion for comfort.
Refreshments: Please bring a named plate of finger food to share. Refreshment tables will be set up on the classroom decks surrounding the courtyard. Tea, coffee, and homemade lemonade will be available afterwards — if possible, please bring your own cup.
Dedication in the Hall: There will be a dedication to Judy in the hall, with a beautiful display of handwork, photographs and memories. If you wish, you may bring flowers, a card, or written memories to leave for Judy’s family. A table with writing and drawing materials will also be available on the day for messages and memories.
Dress: Please feel free to wear whatever you like to honour and celebrate Judy.
Weather: The celebration will go ahead rain or shine – please bring raincoats or umbrellas in case of a shower or two. There is some covered space on the decks.
Parking: Please note that parking at school is limited. Allow extra time to find safe parking on Laingholm Drive and surrounding streets and walk to school. Carpool or walk where possible. Mobility parking is available in the school carpark.
with much love and gratitude – arohanui
